 Someone will always be there to listen to you and provide assistance.
 

Shelter

24-Hour Shelter is available to survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault.

Support Groups

Safe Homes offers weekly meetings that are formatted to provide support to victims of domestic violence.  These meetings are facilitated by Safe Homes staff and trained professionals.  Child care and activities are provided free of charge.

 

Referrals

Agency staff can provide information to clients regarding other agencies that may be able to assist those in need of help.

 
 

Legal Advocacy

Advocates are available to provide assistance in filing Protection from Abuse Orders or Protection from Stalking Orders. Advocates are also available to accompany clients to court and provide support through the legal process.

Outreach Services

Advocates are available to meet with clients that are not in shelter.  We are also available to provide educational sessions, trainings, and supply educational materials.  These services are offered in each county that we serve.
 
 
Transitional Housing
 
Our Transitional Housing program is for survivors of domestic violence that are willing to completely flee the situation and have a new beginning.  Participants must be employed and making steps toward independence.
 
 

Transportation

Transportation service is provided to shelter and outreach clients, free of charge, to doctor appointments, legal proceedings, and other necessary destinations.

OARS (Orientation, Assessment, Referral, Safety)

An advocate assists SRS consumers with safety planning, counseling, economic advocacy, and support groups. 

S.V.P.E. (Sexual Violence Prevention Education)

The Kansas Sexual Violence Prevention and Education (SVPE) Program seeks to reduce the risk for first-time perpetration of sexual violent acts through primary prevention activities.
 
Fifth and Sixth grade students at Winfield Intermediate School participate in the Steps to Respect program.  "Steps to Respect" is a bullying prevention curriculum by Committee For Children.  There are 11 lessons presented in the classroom by the SVPE coordinator ranging in topics, not limited to but including friendship, bullying, sexual bullying and using assertive behaviors to respond to and report bullying.
